About Fiona

Fiona Clark is a mezzo‑soprano and voice teacher whose work spans beginners through to advanced pupils and young professional singers. She has extensive experience teaching at a high level, including pupils supported through the Jerwood Arts scheme, and regularly prepares students for diploma‑level study, auditions, and competitive ensemble work.

Fiona was a choral scholar at Gonville & Caius College and later a Graduate Singer at Trinity College, Cambridge. She went on to train on the Opera Course at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Elizabeth Ritchie and Audrey Hyland, before working professionally with Opera North, Opera Holland Park and the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company. Alongside her operatic work, she has performed widely in the London choral scene with ensembles including Polyphony, the Gabrieli Consort, and Armonico Consort.

Fiona’s teaching career includes roles at North London Collegiate School, the Stephen Perse Foundation and Wellington College, where she taught singers up to diploma level and supported pupils progressing into conservatoire and advanced choral pathways. She has also worked with the choristers of St Edmundsbury Cathedral, and is currently the choral lead at Barnardiston Hall Preparatory School, Suffolk.
